    Joseph Diacheysn

Joseph is a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) and an Army combat veteran. He served 5 1/2 years as a military police officer and completed one tour to Afghanistan. His journey into trauma therapy started long before he had the credentials — it began with his own lived experiences in the military, witnessing the weight many carry after combat, loss, or crisis. After his service, he worked at the VA hospital, providing therapy to veterans struggling with PTSD, moral injury, depression, and anxiety. The common thread? They didn’t just need a therapist — they needed someone who understood. Today, in his private practice, he offers that same depth of understanding to anyone dealing with trauma — whether from military service, childhood, relationships, or major life events. He uses evidence-based approaches like cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and trauma-informed care to help clients process, heal, and rebuild. The name Stone and Sun is deeply personal. It draws from the Armenian Khachkar – stone – carved crosses that stand as symbols of resilience, memory, and faith. As an Armenian American, he carries with him the strength of a people who have endured and risen. That spirit is woven into the work he does: helping others rebuild, recover, and reclaim their light..
