Kelly is a Physician Assistant specializing in psychiatric care at Cognosis Health. She brings a unique and diverse professional background that combines education, behavioral health, and medicine. Kelly earned her Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Communication with a minor in Psychology from Michigan State University. She later completed a Master's degree in Special Education with a concentration in Emotional Impairments and spent several years teaching children, adolescents, and young adults with emotional impairments and learning disabilities. Driven by a passion for helping others, Kelly transitioned into medicine and earned her Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies. Since becoming a Physician Assistant in 2017, she has practiced in surgery, where she continues to care for patients through complex medical conditions and life-changing procedures. Her experience in both behavioral health and surgery has reinforced her belief that successful patient outcomes require attention to both physical and emotional well-being. Kelly's approach to psychiatric care is rooted in active listening, collaboration, patient education, and evidence-based treatment. Drawing from her backgrounds in education, mental health, and medicine, she strives to empower patients to better understand themselves, overcome challenges, and achieve their personal goals. Outside of work, Kelly enjoys skiing, Pilates, hiking, competitive sporting clays, and spending time outdoors with family and friends.
