As a clinical psychologist with 20 years of experience, Wanda believes the therapeutic relationship is at the heart of change. She has been able to walk alongside clients dealing with depression, anxiety, many different types of trauma, the impact of immigration and acculturation, grief and loss, as well as racial trauma. She aims to have the clients she works with feel seen, heard, and understood. She offers a trauma-informed approach that is rooted in anti-oppression principles and social justice. Her work honors culture as a form of resilience and liberation. She is able to work with you in English and Spanish. For a decade she has directed a clinic for young children (0-5) and caregivers impacted by interpersonal traumas. While this work has largely been with clients belonging to communities of color, she has experience working with many kinds of people and welcome clients of all identities and backgrounds, including class, race, spirituality, gender and sexuality; noting that we all live with multiple identities that shape our experiences and worldview.
