Joseph Diacheysn

LCSW

I'm a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) and an Army combat veteran. I served 5 1/2 years as military police officer and completed one tour to Afghanistan. My journey into
trauma therapy started long before I had the credentials — it began with my own lived experiences in the military, witnessing the weight many carry after combat, loss, or crisis.
After my service, I worked at the VA hospital, providing therapy to veterans struggling with PTSD, moral injury, depression, and anxiety. The common thread? They didn't just need
a therapist — they needed someone who understood.
Today, in my private practice, I offer that same depth of understanding to anyone dealing with trauma — whether from military service, childhood, relationships, or major life events.
I use evidence-based approaches like cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and trauma-informed care to help clients process, heal, and rebuild.
The name Stone and Sun is deeply personal. It draws from the Armenian Khachkar - stone - carved crosses that stand as symbols of resilience, memory, and faith. As an Armenian
American, I carry with me the strength of a people who have endured and risen. That spirit is woven into the work I do: helping others rebuild, recover, and reclaim their light.
