Adelina Garabet, LCSW is an experienced, unique Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 15 years of expertise in the fields of mental health, crisis intervention, counseling and program management. Specializing in individual and couples counseling, Adelina uses a strength-based and person-centered approach to help clients achieve emotional stability and improve overall functioning. Her therapeutic work incorporates a variety of modalities, tailored to meet the diverse needs of her clients. Adelina's extensive background includes working with individuals experiencing various degrees of mental illness, homelessness, as well as those involved in the carceral system. She has a deep passion for working with first responders and couples, helping them navigate personal challenges and develop healthier coping strategies. Her therapeutic philosophy focuses on empowering clients to become active participants in their own recovery, fostering resilience and long-term well-being. In addition to her clinical work, Adelina is a committed educator, serving as a part-time lecturer at Rutgers School of Social Work and NYU Silver School of Social Work, where she teaches various social work related courses. Her passion for teaching and training extends to professional development workshops on topics such as mental health first aid, de-escalation, trauma informed case management, and suicide prevention. Outside of her professional life, Adelina is a proud mother of two children, an 8-year-old daughter and a 5-year-old son. Her love for family and commitment to fostering growth and healing is central to both her personal and professional life.
